L’Envol Lyrics English Translation by Alcest
In the evening, I imagine
Joining in full flight
The supernatural cohort
Of immense birds of paradise
Sailing in unison
Under vaults of placid waters
That undulate slowly
In the tumult of the night
Alone with my cherished memories
The soul finally vibrant and liberated
Far away
From the surface of the Earth
Sometimes I have this dream
Strange, where I align myself
With the impassive procession
That one sees fleeing under drapes
Of translucent waves
Letting escape
The pale lights of day
And at nightfall, those
Distant lights of exiled stars
For a moment, I abandoned
This burdened body
Always carrying the weight
For the remnants
Of an evanescent Elsewhere
And for my waking dreams
