El Traje Lyrics English Translation by Camilo
I looked in the mirror and didn’t say anything to myself
Because I don’t talk to strangers
But there’s something in your eyes that reminds me
Of a kid who used to ride around my neighborhood on his bike
He’s got the same mouth, but a different smile
The other one lasted, it didn’t go so fast
There was a light in it that I don’t see in you
He’s got the same face, but this one doesn’t shine
The other one shined for simple things
I keep looking for him, and if you see him first
Tell him no
Don’t get on that plane that’s made of lies
And tell him no
Don’t trade happiness for a fantasy
And what they’ll never tell him is that he’s gonna wanna come back
And the bike and his friends won’t be there
No, no, what they say is gonna happen is gonna happen:
You make it and you’re gonna feel like you failed
And you’re never gonna stop feeling far from home
They’re not gonna make it add up with what you lost
‘Cause you traded happy days for sadder days
What a bad deal you made
Tell him no
Don’t get on that plane that’s made of lies
And tell him no
Don’t trade happiness for a fantasy
And what they’ll never tell him is that he’s gonna wanna come back
And the bike and his friends won’t be there
