Róisín Murphy
Róisín Marie Murphy, an Irish singer, songwriter, and record producer, gained initial recognition as part of the duo Moloko in the 1990s, but after the duo’s breakup, she ventured into a successful solo career, starting with her critically acclaimed debut album Ruby Blue in 2005, followed by her 2007 release Overpowered, and later making a comeback with her 2015 album Hairless Toys, nominated for prestigious music awards, and her fourth album Take Her Up to Monto in 2016, while continuing to release various side projects and guest appearances, eventually culminating in her disco-inspired fifth solo album, Róisín Machine, in 2020, which received widespread critical acclaim and commercial success.
