In "Heal Me," Duncan Laurence moves from drifting like a lost soul and hiding as a shadow to feeling safe and soaring after being found. The repeated question of how this healing happens carries genuine wonder, especially the image of picking up broken glass and putting every piece back. Touch brings clarity where dust once buried him, and the contrast between being out of his body for too long and now standing in a safe space shows how love restores presence. The song holds gratitude for a rescue that feels almost impossible to explain.
Heal Me Lyrics by Duncan Laurence
I was floating
I was just a lost soul
Going where the wind blows
When you found me
I was just a shadow
Scared of what the light shows
I see clearly when we touch
I was buried in the dust
Only you can lift me up
How do you?
How do you heal me?
Heal me, how?
How do you pick up the broken glass?
How do you put all the pieces back?
How do you heal me?
Heal me, how?
How do you find me when I’m far gone?
Been out of my body for way too long
How do you?
How do you, how do you, how do you, how do you?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me?
I was lonely
Learning things the hard way
Always in a bad place
Now I’m soaring
You got me through the dark days
Now I’m in a safe space
I see clearly when we touch
I was buried in the dust
Only you can lift me up
How do you?
How do you heal me?
Heal me, how?
How do you pick up the broken glass?
How do you put all the pieces back?
How do you heal me?
Heal me, how?
How do you find me when I’m far gone?
Been out of my body for way too long
How do you?
How do you, how do you, how do you, how do you?
How do you, how do you, how do you?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me, how?
How do you heal me? How do you heal me?
