"Hope In You" by Kirk Franklin & Davido opens in private exhaustion, where wrong choices and nightly returns to prayer leave a heart wondering if Heaven still listens. The confession that hope is slipping stays hidden because no one seems to care what another soul goes through. Yet the plea turns outward, asking to be seen for the heart and not judged for the truth, while broken people cry for freedom, love, and blessings. Hope becomes not a feeling but a presence that pulls the hurting through.
Hope In You Lyrics by Kirk Franklin & Davido
(Feat. Davido)
I find myself lying to myself more and more
I’m so confused, what do I do?
I do what’s wrong instead of right and every night
I’m back to You, with my back to You
These devils try to break me down
And when I try to pray, can Heaven still hear what I say?
I lose hope
Hope in You
But I keep it to myself
‘Cause no one cares what you go through
But my hope is that You
That You see me for my heart
And You don’t judge me for my truth
Hope is You
See us, free us
Love us, not judge us
We’re broken, Yah, we’re broken
Yah, come pull us through, hope is You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
My hope is in You
I give my all to You, I’m
Holding on to You, whenever
I struggle in my hustle, You’re my bubble
When I don’t know what to do
I’m, I’m looking to You
Make I no go enter one chance
Hallelujah meje meje
Oluwa ti Gbemi leke
I no fit o, fit to seke
I just want to kore dele
Hallelujah meje meje
Oluwa ti Gbemi leke
I no fit o, fit to seke
Make my people jere mi
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
My hope is in You
Yah, Your people hurting, Yah, Your people dying
Can you hear us crying?
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Open up the heavens
Shower down Your blessings, You make life worth living
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Yah, Your people hurting, Yah, Your people dying
Can you hear us crying?
Oh my, oh my, oh my, oh my
Open up the heavens
Shower down Your blessings, You make life worth living
Oh my, oh my, oh my hope is You
See us, free us
Love us, not judge us
We’re broken, Yah, we’re broken
Yah, come pull us through, hope is You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
Oh my, oh my, oh my, hope is in You
My hope is in You
Yah, Your people hurting, Yah, Your people dying
Can you hear us crying?
Oh my, oh my, oh my hope is You
Open up the heavens
Shower down Your blessings, You make life worth living
Oh my, oh my, oh my hope is in You
