OVER THE RIVER Lyrics by Sean Stemaly
Way back in the foothills
There’s a horse barn off a soy bean field
Full of corn bags and cane sugar
Propane fire on moonshine cooker
Yeah, he said he just jarred up a new batch
And he set a little for me out back door
It’ll burn the barbs off a blue cat
Yeah, this ones gonna go fast so
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
He’s got the liquor and the gettings good
And my stash is creek bed low
It ain’t a good time if you ain’t got good shine
Best on both sides of the Ohio so
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
Flat bed square body
Milk crate mason jars fulla white lighting
Yeah, the blue lights lighting up the rear view
Ole 5.0 knows me by my last name
Gave him a jar of that 120 proof
Said thanks son drive safe have a good day so
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
He’s got the liquor and the gettings good
And my stash is creek bed low
It ain’t a good time if you ain’t got good shine
Best on both sides of the Ohio so
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
Over the river
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
He’s got the liquor and the gettings good
And my stash is creek bed low
It ain’t a good time if you ain’t got good shine
Best on both sides of the Ohio so
Over the river and through the woods
To granddaddy’s house we go
