In "We Get Around," Wavvez captures a relationship stuck in a punishing loop of resentment and repetition. The disgust is visceral, from sickening intimacy to bad advice that cuts like a blade, yet neither can stay away. The repeated claim of getting around masks a deeper paralysis, and by the end that numbness overtakes everything, leaving only the hollow rhythm of the same tired pattern. It is the sound of two people too exhausted to leave and too detached to care.
We Get Around Lyrics by Wavves
Fuck this shit
Too stupid to quit
But it’s not long
‘Til you come around
Trying again
I’m sick of sex
The smell of your breath
And it’s not long
‘Til you come around
And I get upset
I get around
I get around
You get around
No alibi
Too lazy to lie
But was I wrong?
‘Cause you came around
Crying again
Bad advice
A knife in my eye
And it’s not long
‘Til you come around
And I get upset
I get around
I get around
You get around
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
numb
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
numb
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
I’m going numb
I get around
I get around
You get around
I’m going numb
I get around
I get around
You get around
I’m going numb
I get around
I get around
You get around
I get around
I get around
I get around
You get around
I get around
I get around
You get around
I get around
I get around
You get around
