Andrew Bird

Andrew Wegman Bird, an American indie rock multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, has released 16 studio albums since 1996, showcasing his unique style of violin playing accompanied by loop and effect pedals, whistling, and voice, with his music spanning genres such as swing, indie rock, and folk; he gained recognition as part of jazz ensembles in the 1990s and later formed his own swing ensemble, Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire, before transitioning into indie music with his solo album “Weather Systems” in 2003, and his 2019 album “My Finest Work Yet” received a Grammy nomination for “Best Folk Album.”
