Get Ready Lyrics by John Legend & Peanuts
Get ready
Oh, get ready
Yeah, get ready
Oh, the lights are on in every square
Aglow in every tree
The town is singing, carols ringing
Out on every street
I hope you’re prepared and you’re aware
Of what you need to do
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Oh, the elves are in the factory
Crafting every toy
They’ve been making lists so steadfastly
Of every girl and boy
My advice is just be nice
Don’t make your Christmas blue
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Yeah, the reindeer are in the sharpest shape
Been trainin’ all year round
And the chimney sweeps, they sweep all day
‘Cause Santa’s coming down
Does your future hold a lump of coal
Or will Christmas dreams come true?
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Yeah, Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Oh, get ready
You best be ready
When Santa gets to your town
Get ready
Oh, get ready
Yeah, get ready
Oh, when the score is tallied, the record’s read
The ledger calls your name
Will you be merry or instead
Just hang your head in shame
Not much time to get in line
There’s some catching up to do
Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Yeah, Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
Aye, Santa Claus is gettin’ ready
And I hope you’re ready too
