About the Album
“Automatic” is the forthcoming fifth studio album by The Lumineers, scheduled for release on February 14, 2025. The album was produced by David Baron, who also produced their previous album, “Brightside” (2022). According to band member Wesley Schultz, the album explores themes such as “the increasingly blurry line between what’s real and what’s not, and the variety of ways we numb ourselves while trying to combat both boredom and overstimulation.”
The lead single, “Same Old Song,” was released on January 8, 2025, and is accompanied by an official music video directed by Anaïs LaRocca.
