Skin by Number Them
Released : 2017
In the first words I wrote:
Trapped in doubt, how does the mind hold on for so long?
When every goodbye in the past is pain prolonged.
The first sign of winter wraps itself around my feet,
As cracked lips force a smile.
I am lost as you are found,
We’ll take this secret to the ground.
We are the cursed ones
Left to wander and never be found.
These eyes don’t shut, this tongue won’t speak,
You can never trust us, we’ll let you down.
In the first words I wrote, to the pain on my deathbed.
Pressing at my skin, it will always be there.
Try to forget me and disappear,
But I was always meant to keep you near.
I’m losing sleep just to buy you time,
Flood my bloodstream, take what’s mine.
We are the cursed ones
Left to wander and never be found.
These eyes don’t shut, this tongue won’t speak,
You can never trust us, we’ll let you down
You said you waited so long for the snow to blacken our skin.
A permanent rest from a lifelong lament.
I am a locked door, a lost cause.
No one’s nothing and swear it’s best for me
I’m a river run dry, a roof caved in.
Trapped inside of this casket closing in on the end.
I am a lost cause.
