In "Let It Snow," David Archuleta turns a stormy night into a cozy invitation to stay put. The frightful weather outside contrasts with the delightful fire and low lights inside, where popcorn and closeness make having nowhere to go feel like a gift. The repeated farewells and the dying fire hint that the evening must end, but the warmth of being held tight promises to outlast the cold walk home. As long as love holds steady, the snow becomes something to welcome rather than dread.
Let It Snow Lyrics by David Archuleta
Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
It doesn’t show signs of stoppin’
And I brought some corn for poppin’
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
When we finally kiss good night
How I’ll hate goin’ out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dyin’
And, my dear, we’re still goodbyin’
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
When we finally kiss good night
How I’ll hate goin’ out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I’ll be warm
The fire is slowly dyin’
And, my dear, we’re still goodbyin’
But as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Let it snow!
